Research
Understanding local sanitation conditions helps the organization not only to understand the socio-economic aspects of sanitation conditions, but also to understand the level of vulnerability of households and their capacity and willingness to contribute to improving their sanitation conditions. So far our team has conducted research in 9 districts of 4 provinces in the south and North of Mozambique which covered over 6000 families (app 36.000 people). The evaluations conducted so far by the organization have all been presented to other WASH stakeholders and government agencies so that they can use the data to inform their programmes and interventions.
Our standard research process is composed by the following steps:
Identification of the researched area
Identification and selection of local community mappers
Logistical preparation
Data collection process
Data analysis
